Welcome to Shifting the Lens 2020: Survivors and Families Coming into Focus!
Thank you for registering for Shifting the Lens 2020: Survivors and Families Coming into Focus! We are excited to have you join us for our first ever virtual conference, November 2nd - 5th!
Shifting the Lens will be streamed through Zoom Webinars and Meetings, and there is no need to pre-register for sessions.
You can find Conference materials and links to each Zoom session on our Conference Navigation Site.
View the Conference Navigation Site here
You will need to log into your MemberClicks profile to access the Conference Navigation Site. Your MemberClicks username is typically your email address, or you can retrieve your username here and if you do not know your password, you can request a password reset here. If you're still having trouble logging in, please email Christina Nicosia at christina@cpedv.org
We recommend checking your login credentials now, and taking a moment to look around the Conference Navigation Site to familiarize yourself with it! We also recommend downloading the Zoom client now, if you have not already done so. Optionally, you can download a special, Shifting the Lens virtual background in purple or green! We will be recording sound and video, as well as taking photos during the event. If you do not want your photo taken, please leave your camera turned off.
Please Note: We are not cancelling any registrations due to not having received payment, if you receive an email stating otherwise we apologize for the confusion!
On Wednesday, November 4th we will host a special Zoom Meeting: Post Election Processing with the Policy Team.
Join the Policy Team, Partnership Members and Shifting the Lens conference attendees for an open sharing of post-election processing feelings and thoughts. This will be an informal space, but the Policy Team will be able to share updates on state level ballot propositions we’ve been tracking, updated state Assembly and Senate information, and the latest news on national elections. This election, like every election, will have important impacts on our movement, and we want this to be an opportunity for folks to process, share, and connect with each other in a more relaxed Zoom space. This is a non-partisan event. This requires a separate registration, and you can register here.
Don't forget to roll your clocks back! Daylight savings time is this week!
Community Agreements – we ask all attendees to hold these throughout the event:
Assume positive intent
Be Brave and Responsible for your safety
Listen for understanding, different than agreement
Please keep chat comments appropriate
We believe this year’s conference will be very exciting, motivating, challenging, thought-provoking and inspirational. We hope it will cause many of you to engage this work in new and innovative ways and for others of you, to a renewed inspiration for the work in being change agents. We APPRECIATE who you are, We ACKNOWLEDGE our short comings and We COMMIT to moving forward, TOGETHER.
